The miniature floats

Nicolò Vecchio e Giorgio Bella   (Cat. B)

The miniature float "EUREKA" is an allegorical representation of the concept of serendipity, the accidental and unexpected discovery of something while searching for something else. However, in the artwork, it is portrayed as having been closely linked to science throughout history for various revolutionary discoveries. As an antithesis, some of the discoveries made through deliberate studies are also depicted, allowing for a comparison between the two types. An exciting journey that takes us from Christopher Columbus to Fleming, from Archimedes to Einstein, and into space!
