GIULIO FRANCESCHINO (Cat. B)
METTETE DEI FIORI IN QUESTI CANNONI
A message of peace rises like a silent song against war. A child plays with a tank from which a flower blooms, symbolizing life that endures. Above him, faces twisted by hatred and a politician weighing money and death denounce the absurdity of conflict and the greed of those who feed on it. Above, an angel with a sword and a bouquet of flowers protects hope. His face is that of Roberto Benigni, a voice of humanity and poetry. The work is a secular prayer: only beauty and love can disarm the world. “Put flowers in these cannons, before it’s too late.”
