IL GIORNO DEGLI EROI!

This year's theme represents contemporary humanity. Just turn on the TV to hear one word: war! Used to settle scores between sovereign states for ideological or economic reasons, but at what cost? And who pays the price? Heartbreaking images come to us from conflict-ridden countries, with innocent children suffering the most severe consequences.
This makes me reflect on how humanity has lost its way, falling into the hands of chaos. At the beginning of the float, the planet Earth is depicted in the grip of chaos, symbolized by the Egyptian god Seth, dark and violent. Behind him, two warplanes are piloted by Vladimir Putin (Russian President - Russia/Ukraine war) and Benjamin Netanyahu (Israeli Prime Minister - Gaza war between Israel and Palestine), both with international arrest warrants for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
At the end of the float, superheroes allegorically represent UNICEF, the organization created to save children's lives and defend their rights. Hulk, Spiderman, Captain America, and others are ready to save every child, reminding us that children need superheroes to believe in, not bombs and wars.
