The miniature floats
GIORGIO BELLA (Cat. B)
ITALIANS DO IT BETTER
The miniature float "ITALIANS DO IT BETTER" tries to pay homage to and highlight in every aspect our country, namely Italy. A country rich in history, art, literature, and culture. At the front of the float, we find Lupin on his Fiat 500, an allegory of the cunning and cleverness characteristic of Italians. His long journey in search of jewels and various treasures is accompanied by two other typical Italian characters: Dante on a Vespa, representing great Italian literature, and another typical figure, Pulcinella on a pizza, symbolizing the rich Neapolitan traditions and excellent Italian cuisine, unique throughout the world. This exciting journey concludes with the figure of Toto, a symbol of comedy in Italy, nicknamed "the prince of laughter" and considered one of the greatest performers in the history of Italian theater and cinema.
