The allegorical floats

MA... CHI SEI?

“C’è chi dice no” explores the theme of double faces, shifting identities, and hidden truths. The first deceptions come from fairy tales: the witch offering the poisoned apple and Pinocchio with his growing nose remind us how easily falsehood can hide behind a gesture or transform the one who commits it. The focus then shifts to the contemporary world: the Messina Bridge, symbol of endless promises never fulfilled, becomes an emblem of politics that changes its face according to convenience. Even Scylla and Charybdis, ancient guardians of the Strait, emerge weary of a human uncertainty that surpasses any monster. Everyday hypocrisy takes shape in the Vampire, a respectable figure in daylight and a dark creature at night: a metaphor for those who wear social masks to conceal their true nature. The float invites us to unmask appearances and seek authenticity, ending with a question that echoes like a final warning — “But… who are you really?”
