The miniature floats

Danilo Amico e Raimondo Russo   (Cat. A)

let him who wants to be happy

The artwork is an artistic rendition in paper of Lorenzo de Medici's eponymous poem. It immediately captures the viewer's attention through its dynamic composition and vibrant color tones. The scene is infused with a sense of joy and carefreeness, reflected in the smiling faces of the characters and their festive postures.
King Midas with his proverbial golden touch; the Bacchantes, women who follow the cult of Dionysus; Silenus, the wise old companion of Bacchus; the satyrs, mythological figures embodying fertility and the life force of nature; and the hourglasses that remind us of the fleeting nature of life.
The intention is to emphasize the importance of living in the present moment and enjoying the pleasures of life, as there is no certainty for the future
